Pitcher plant flower

This is the flower of Sarracenia leucophylla. All of the sarracenia species and their hybrids will blossom in the spring. Timing varies a little with some as early as late February to as late as April here in north Florida. The strap shapes petals will drop after a week or two, but the stalk and ripening seed pod will persist until fall.
